V10 | Creating Cavity Sliding Doors

Check-out this simple process for creating cavity sliding doors in KD Max.

Transcript

1.

To begin, navigate back to the 2D view and select Wall Opening.

We’ll be using the wall hole as our doorway for the sliding door.
Enter your dimensions, you’ll want the elevation to be 0 so the wall hole sits on the floor. Height and width are based on your door sizing.

Now switch back to 3D Design, Open Product List navigate to Kitchen/08: End Panel/Decorative Panel TU30-0003. The end panel will act as our sliding

Now position the panel in the door way as required. To create the sliding door look, make the panel shorter than the doorway so the door appears open. This can be used in bedrooms or for a butler’s pantry to show cabinets in a second room.

 

4.

To complete the look navigate to Products list/others/03.Decirations/01.Handle and fix a handle to the panel. Make sure to use the free orientation (by surface) selection in location to place it.
