CAD Software product KD MAX Goes Virtual

The latest version of KD Max now has the capability for users to create realistic virtual reality (VR) scenes in the program. This means images are now accessible on any device at any time.

The add-on module enables the user to turn a kitchen design layout into a 360° degree, panoramic 3D experience while wearing a virtual reality headset. Become fully immersed in a 360°degree panoramic view of how your client’s new room will look and feel.

By using VR, designers can generate 3D 360° panoramic images within KD Max before uploading to a dedicated sever that generates a URL link and QR Code.

Simply open the link using a mobile phone and positioning the device into the VR glasses your clients can now experience the 3D 360° Panorama. A turn of the head will result in an immediate interaction with the full floor to ceiling range of the room they are viewing and allow them to move through rooms. Impress your clients, create a point of difference and most importantly, win more projects.

Included with the VR module is a laser-measuring tool and iMeasure; an App that connects via Bluetooth to the KD Max Laser Measuring Tool. It allows you to input room dimensions by selecting the measure button on the laser measurer.

This allows for accurate measurement information to be transferred straight to the App and reduces errors. The data is then uploaded directly from the iMeasure cloud into a KD Max drawing and seamlessly integrates into kitchen and bathroom designs. With KD Max iMeasure, the setting up of room parameters is now redundant.

iMeasure is an essential tool for designers when measuring and drawing the layouts of rooms. It goes beyond being just a measuring instrument, and is an effective tool for drawing accurate floor plans and managing designers.
